Executive Board

Editor-in-Chief, Raleigh Mark
Raleigh Mark is a 3L at American University - Washington College of Law where she serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Prior to law school, Raleigh worked at the New England Innocence Project and interned at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office in Boston, MA.  During her time at WCL, she has interned at the Mintz Group in New York City, the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project in Washington, DC, and was an Honors Intern in the Department of Justice.  Her legal interests include criminal law, wrongful convictions, national security law, and criminal investigative practices.  This Fall, she worked as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Prosecution Clinic in Prince George’s County, Maryland.


Executive Editor, Robert Nothdurft   
Robert Nothdurft is a 3L at American University - Washington College of Law where he serves as the Executive Editor of the Criminal Law Practitioner.  During his second year, Robert was a teaching fellow for the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project and served as Vice President of the Criminal Law Society.  He is also a second-year member of the Mock Trial Honor Society, currently serving as the Society’s Vice President of Recruitment.  Robert currently works for Roberts & Wood, a small general litigation firm in Riverdale, Maryland.  There, he works on a variety of criminal defense and civil rights cases, primarily involving police brutality.  Robert solidified his interest in litigation during his first summer, when he worked for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.  Prior to attending law school, Robert spent two years working on his Master’s degree in Government and Politics at St. John's University.  In his spare time, Robert loves to cook and brew his own beer.

Publications Editor, Janissia Orgill
Janissia Orgill is a 2L at American University - Washington College of Law where she serves as the Publications Editor on the on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  After graduating from Northwestern University in 2011, she worked as a legal secretary at Cadwalader, Wickersham, and Taft, LLC, and as a paralegal at Haworth, Coleman, and Gerstman, LLC.  She is passionate about criminal law and hopes to translate that passion into a post-graduation career as a defense attorney.  She is a member of the Mock Trial Honors Society and the Treasurer for the Black Law Student Association.


Managing Editor, Jonathan Yunes
Jonathan Yunes is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law, where he serves as the Managing Editor of the Criminal Law Practitioner.  During his time at WCL, Jonathan was a 2014 - 2015 Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project Fellow and a member of the Criminal Law Society.  Jonathan has interned for Burnham & Gorokhov PLLC, a DC based criminal defense firm and clerked for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.  Jonathan currently serves as a judicial intern for the Honorable Anita Josey-Herring.  In the Fall, Jonathan will work as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Defense Clinic.


Articles Editor, Omeed Assefi
Omeed Assefi is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as the Articles Editor of the Criminal Law Practitioner.  After graduating from Trinity College in 2011, Omeed worked in the United States Senate while earning a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University School of Public Policy.  Omeed is passionate about Criminal Law issues and spent this past summer working in the Maryland Court of Appeals.


Blog Editor, Trevor Addie
Trevor Addie is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as the Blog Editor on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He is also a member of the Criminal Law Society and the Lambda Law Society.  Trevor has served as an undergraduate and legal intern at the Montgomery County (Maryland) State’s Attorney’s Office in a variety of capacities since 2010, including assignments to the Upcounty Felony Prosecution Unit, the District Court Prosecution Unit, the Special Prosecution Unit, and the Community Outreach Division.  He will spend this coming summer as a judicial intern to the Honorable John M. Maloney of the Montgomery County Circuit Court.  His legal interests include criminal law, DNA exonerations, wrongful convictions, LGBT and civil rights, and constitutional issues.  Outside of law, Trevor has academic interests in forensic science, cultural anthropology, and Japanese culture and religion. 


Senior Editors

Jacqueline Morley
Jacqueline Morley is a 2L at the American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Editor on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Jacqueline is from West Islip, NY, and is interested in criminal law, specifically white collar crime, and cyber security law. 


Cassandre Plantin
Cassandre Plantin is a 3L at American University Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Editor on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She is currently a student attorney in the Civil Advocacy Clinic.  She has previously interned at the Family Justice Center in Montgomery County, Maryland's State's Attorney's Office where she handled child abuse and domestic violence cases. She has previously interned at the State's Attorney's Office as a Screener in District Court handling misdemeanor cases, and has interned at the Nassau County, New York District Attorney’s Office.  In the Nassau County District Attorney's Office she was an intern in the Special Victim's Unit, helping with child abuse and elder abuse cases.  Finally, she has interned for the Honorable Danya Dayson in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia when Judge Dayson was on a domestic relations calendar.  Her legal interests include criminal prosecution and family law.


Stephane Plantin
Stephane Plantin is a 3L at American University Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Editor on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Prior to law school, he received a Master’s degree in psychology with a focus in forensic psychology, and worked at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.  While in law school he has worked at the Nassau County District Attorney's Office in the Major Crimes Division of the County Court Trial Bureau, the Department of Justice's Child Exploitation and Obscenities Section, and the Office of Police Complaints.  Additionally, Stephane has worked as a student attorney for the American University Washington College of Law's Criminal Defense Clinic.  Stephane is currently a Dean’s Fellow in the General Practice Clinic.  His legal interests are criminal prosecution and defense, white-collar criminal prosecution and defense, sports, and animals. 

Makia Weaver
Makia Weaver is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Editor on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish at the University of Virginia.  She is interested in criminal law and appellate litigation. She currently serves as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and as 1L Resource Coordinator for the Black Law Students Association.  She has interned at Harden & Pinckney, PLLC in Washington, D.C., for Judge Michael Ryan at the D.C. Superior Court, and currently interns for Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby at the D.C. Court of Appeals.  This summer, she will intern at the Public Defender Service in the Trial Division.

Amber Bennett
Amber Bennett is a 3L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.


Amber Cleaver
Amber Cleaver is a 3L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She is originally from Kansas City, MO, and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Communications with a minor in Political Science at Howard University.  Her passion for Criminal Law dates far back into her childhood, as she comes from a family of lawyers.  She is currently an Inside Sales Manager at LivingSocial and upon graduation she plans to work as a public defender in the Washington, DC area.

Michael Coburn
Michael Coburn is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  A graduate from the George Washington University, Michael previously worked for the U.S. House of Representatives.  As a result of courses taken at WCL, Michael developed an interest in litigation.  In particular, he is interested in criminal prosecution and white collar crime.  

Kelsey Edenzon
Kelsey Edenzon is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Kelsey is currently interning for the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office in the Citizen’s Complaint Bureau, and is a Dean’s Fellow for the Europe Study Abroad Program.  Last semester, she interned for the Honorable Rhonda Reid Winston on the D.C. Superior Court, and was a Dean’s Fellow for Practitioner-in-Residence Sunita Patel.  She was also a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office during Summer 2014.  She worked in the Target Crimes Division and dealt mostly with crimes against police officers and domestic violence cases.  Before pursuing her law degree, Kelsey attended California State University - Chico where she obtained a B.A. in Legal Studies.  Over the summer Kelsey will be interning with the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office in their Felony Unit.

Saifuddin (“Saif”) Kalolwala
Saifuddin ("Saif") Kalolwala is a 3L at the American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  A native of Houston, Texas, Saif moved to Washington, DC to seize all of the unique opportunities that it has to offer.  For example, Saif currently serves as a judicial intern to the Honorable Anita Josey-Herring at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.  This opportunity has given Saif an unparalleled insight into effective written and oral advocacy and has helped garner his interest in clerkship opportunities after graduation. 


Kyle Kemper
Kyle Kemper is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He is also a volunteer for the Equal Justice Foundation.  While attending the University of New Mexico as an undergraduate, Kyle interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the General Crimes Division.  His legal interests include criminal law, international criminal law, prosecution, and LGBT and civil rights.

Kathryn Kimball
Kathryn Kimball is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She also assists in editing the Criminal Law Practitioner’s blog.  She is currently a law clerk at the boutique immigration firm Maggio & Kattar.  Over the summer, Kathryn worked as a law clerk for the Department of Justice at the Pearsall Immigration Court in Pearsall, TX.  Her legal interests include criminal and immigration law. 


Jared Kleiman
Jared Kleiman is a 2L JD/MA candidate at the American University – Washington College of Law and School of International Service, and a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He is a legal intern with the U.S. Justice Department National Security Division, a published senior staffer on the National Security Law Brief (Beyond the Silk Road: Unregulated Decentralized Virtual Currencies Continue to Endanger U.S. National Security and Welfare, 4 Am. U. Nat'l Sec. L. Br. 59 (2013)), a Business Law Society representative, and a Space Law Society founding member.  After graduating from Boston University, Jared interned with the White House Domestic Policy Council, U.S. Treasury Department Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, U.S. State Department Embassy in London for Ambassador Louis Susman, U.S. Commerce Department International Trade Administration, and was a global financial analyst for Barclays Investment Bank.  He previously interned for U.S. Senator John Kerry, the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards General Counsel, U.K. Parliament for Rt. Hon. Malcolm Wicks MP, and was a biophysics researcher at the Boston University Molecular Biophysics Laboratory.  Jared is pursuing a public service career and enjoys SCUBA diving, photography, sporting clays, and skiing.


Robert Maes
Robert Maes is a 3L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  While in law school, Robert has devoted his studies towards a career as a public defender.  During his 2L Summer, he served as a law clerk to the Special Counsel to the Director at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.  He is currently a law clerk at the Federal Public Defender for the Eastern District of Virginia.  His areas of particular focus include the militarization of police and the need for accountability for unlawful uses of force by law enforcement.


Aly Mance
Aly Mance is a 1L at American University – Washington College of law, where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  This summer, she will intern with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.  She is also a member of the Criminal Law Society and a volunteer for the Equal Justice Foundation.  While attending University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate studies, she worked at the Women’s Law Project as an intern and later as an administrative assistant.  After law school, she would like to work as a criminal prosecutor.


Braxton Marcela
Braxton Marcela is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.


Robert Martinez
Robert Martinez is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  During the first-half of 2014, Robert served as a City Year Corps Member for the Miami-Dade County School District in Miami, Florida.  As a Corps Member, Robert taught 9th Grade Algebra at North Miami Senior High.  Throughout the year, Robert worked tirelessly to raise his students’ performances from below grade level to at or above grade level.  His legal interests include juvenile justice, domestic violence, and criminal law (defense).

Hassan Mukhlis
Hassan Mukhlis is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Hassan's first introduction to the law was while he interned at the United States Department of Agriculture Civil Rights Division where he works directly under the Secretary of Civil Rights as a research/legal intern.  While attending the University of California at Irvine, Hassan worked for the Orange County District Attorney's Office as a legal intern.  This past summer Hassan worked at Legal Aid Orange County, where he gained first-hand experience helping senior citizens with a variety of issues from Limited Conservatorships to Identity Fraud.  This fall Hassan worked out of the Montgomery County (Maryland) State’s Attorney's Office as a case screener.  Hassan was able to second chair criminal court hearings and help prepare the docket for prosecutors.  In the Spring Hassan will be joining the Office of the Bar Counsel in Washington, DC as a part-time law clerk.  Hassan will be assisting in the prosecution of lawyers accused of ethical violations.  He hopes to work as a prosecutor after graduation. 


Travis Nemmer
Travis Nemmer is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law.  He serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner, as well as the President of the Criminal Law Society, and the Finance Chair of the Equal Justice Foundation.  He has worked with the Juvenile unit of the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, and is heading to Brooklyn this summer to work for the King’s County District Attorney’s Office.  He graduated from the State University at Buffalo with a dual degree in Political Science and History.  His interests include litigation, and putting bad guys in jail, preferably in that order.

Monisha Rao
Monisha Rao is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2014 with a B.A. in journalism and women's studies.  Monisha has interned with Chairman Sharon Bulova of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, and her legal interests include criminal prosecution and national security law.

Mary Soule
Mary Soule is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She is from New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Tulane University in 2014 with a B.A. in Sociology and History.  Her legal interests include public defense and race and gender in criminal justice.

Kieley Sutton
Kieley Sutton is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  In addition, she is also a Language Volunteer for the WCL Clinics, a Mentor with Students United for Youth Justice, and the Social Chair for the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity.  Prior to law school, she graduated with a B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures and minored in Leadership and Social Change from Virginia Tech.  Kieley hopes to pursue a career in criminal defense because she believes that every individual deserves someone in their corner supporting them, giving them second chances, and advocating for their rights.

Brian Zack
Brian Zack is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Senior Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Prior to attending law school Brian interned at the Miami-Dade Public Defender's Office in the Criminal Pre-Trial Unit.  Brian graduated from the University of Florida in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Political Science.  Since his admission to law school, Brian has become a member of various student organizations including Phi Alpha Delta where he serves as the Chapter's Clerk, and ADVANCE Mentoring.  Brian also serves as a Senior Editor on the Sustainable Development Law & Policy publication.  Brian is currently interning at Manna, Inc., a non-profit developer of affordable housing in the District of Columbia where he focuses on zoning, the low-income housing tax, and title history.  This past summer Brian had the opportunity of interning at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office where worked on robbery and career criminal cases.  Brian also has a strong interest in land use, construction, and real estate law.

Staffers

Kristen Abitabile
Kristen Abitabile is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She grew up in Old Bridge, NJ and graduated from California State University - Northridge with a B.A. in Political Science.  She is interested in criminal law and national security law.

Shawnta Albro
Shawnta Albro is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She is from State College, Pennsylvania.  She graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy.  Shawnta is a member of the Black Law Student Association and is interested in criminal defense and white collar crime.

Kayleigh Anselm
Kayleigh Anselm is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A. in English Literature.  Her legal interests include juvenile justice, family law and criminal prosecution. She is also interested in the areas of international human rights and education law.  

Cara Arnold
Cara Arnold is a 1L student at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  While at Penn State, Cara interned with the Department of Justice in the Civil Division in the Federal Programs Branch, which confirmed her dream of working in the Department of Justice for her career.  After graduating from Penn State in 2010 with a B.S. in Crime, Law, and Justice, Cara began working with the Department of Justice in the Civil Frauds Section of the Civil Division.  She is currently a paralegal and works with qui-tams dealing with healthcare fraud, education fraud, pharmaceutical fraud, and military procurement fraud.  Criminal law has always been her main focus and she aims to transfer to the Department of Justice’s Criminal Division as soon as the opportunity presents itself.  She is particularly interested in the current debate on the death penalty and related issues.

Peter Brostowin
Peter Brostowin is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He graduated summa cum laude from Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Psychology.  During his undergraduate studies, Peter interned with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.  Peter's legal interests include criminal prosecution and international law. 

Do Nam Choi
Do Nam Choi is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He previously graduated from the University of Toronto where he majored in Economics.  Following his graduation, Do worked in real estate brokerage.  He is passionate about post-conviction trials, remedies for wrongful convictions, and white collar crimes.

Joseph Collins
Joseph Collins is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He is a Washington, D.C. native, and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science.  Joseph’s first introduction to the law was his internship with Sanametrix, Inc., a D.C. based company, where he worked under the Lead Contracting Consultant.  Joseph is interested in both criminal law and contract law.

Miranda Dore
Miranda Dore is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Miranda currently works full time at a small employment law firm in DC.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Psychology with certificates in Gender Studies and African Studies.  In 2012, she graduated from The Institute of World Politics where she received a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Intelligence Studies.  She is currently working with a criminal defense attorney on several post-conviction appeals and a Clemency Project petition.  Her legal interests include criminal law, national security law, and narcoterrorism. 

Megan Doyle
Megan Doyle is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.

Sam Escher
Sam Escher is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He is a Criminal Justice Act certified investigator in Washington, D.C., and a Department of Criminal Justice Services registered private investigator in Virginia.  Before attending WCL, he was a criminal defense investigator for indigent defendants in Maryland and Washington, D.C.  He majored in criminology and criminal justice at the University of Maryland, and he used to intern with the Prince George’s County Police Department and the Montgomery County Police Department.

Crystal Evans
Crystal is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  In addition, she is also a Junior Staffer on the Administrative Law Review and is on the Intellectual Property Brief.  During her 1L summer, she interned in a District Court under the Honorable Liam O’Grady and is currently an intern with the Internet Association.

Samantha Findling
Sam Findling is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She is also a member of WCL Democrats, the Criminal Law Society, the Disability Law Society, and Jews in Law Association.  While attending Georgetown University as an undergraduate majoring in psychology, Sam interned at Bright Beginnings, a preschool for homeless children, and for Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson.  Her legal interests include criminal defense, mental health, and homelessness. 

Christopher Garabino
Christopher Garabino is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.

James (“AJ”) Hill
James “AJ” Hill is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  He received his Bachelor’s degree in History from Centenary College of Louisiana located in Shreveport, Louisiana.  During his undergraduate studies, AJ helped establish the Centenary Human Rights Brigade chapter, which provides legal counseling to underprivileged individuals in Latin American countries and is a part of the national Global Brigades organization.  He is interested in public defense, particularly death penalty representation. 

Danielle Hinton
Danielle Hinton is a 2L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  She has spent time at The Hague studying International Criminal Law and was a law clerk at the Upper Marlboro Office of the Public Defender.  She is currently a Law Clerk at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia.

Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan is a 2L at American University Washington College of Law where she is a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  Mahira is also a Research Associate for the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project and Publications Editor for the Legislation and Policy Brief.  Before law school, she studied at the University of Maryland.  She is also pursuing an M.A. in International Studies at American University School of International Service, where she focuses on Transnational Crime and National Security.  During her 1L summer, Mahira worked with the Domestic & Family Violence Division at the State's Attorney's Office in Maryland.  This fall, she worked with the Major Crimes Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office.  She also worked simultaneously for the Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section at the Department of Justice, where she will return summer 2015.  In Spring 2015, she worked with the National Security Division at the Department of Justice.  Her legal interests are criminal prosecution, particularly sex crimes, human and drug trafficking, narcoterrorism, and religious extremism. 

Emma McArthur
Emma McArthur is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner as well as a research associate for the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project.  After graduating from Arizona State University, Emma worked for a judge presiding over a child abuse and neglect calendar in the Maricopa County Superior Court.  Her legal interests include criminal prosecution, children’s law, and sexually motivated crimes.  This summer she will be interning with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. 

Betty McNeil
Betty McNeil (Jeane) is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  While serving abroad with the United States Army she developed a passion for International Economic Crimes.  Since then she has had the opportunity to put this passion to work both as an active duty service member and as a DOD civilian.  Her legal interest include economic criminal prosecution, oil and gas law, and asset misappropriation.

Cheline Schroeder
Cheline Schroeder is a 1L at American University – Washington College of Law where she serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner.  This summer, Cheline will be working as a Law Clerk at the Public Defender of Montgomery County.  Following graduation from Syracuse University with a BA in political science and Middle Eastern studies, Cheline worked at the Garden City Group, Inc. as a Project Administrator working on corporate bankruptcy cases.  Cheline spent a semester studying abroad in Rabat Morocco and has had internships with the United States Senate and the Washington State Democratic Party.  Her legal interests include criminal defense and non-violent drug crimes.


Calvin Walker
Calvin Walker is a 1L at American University - Washington College of Law where he serves as a Staffer on the Criminal Law Practitioner and a general body member for the Black Law Students Association.  He is from Richmond, Virginia and graduated from James Madison University in 2014 with a B.A. in Political Science.  While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Calvin worked as a Student Judicial Coordinator for his university's Office of Judicial Affairs and interned with the Henrico County Commonwealth Attorney's Office.  He has an interest in criminal litigation, and more long-term, informing policy that would transform the American criminal justice system for the better. He believes that justice and fair play should not be far off ideals to strive toward, but rather the ideals that inform the practice of law in effect every day
